I don't like murder stories.....however utube
offered me a story about a neat little guy who sold body parts but struggled to understand immediately the word body. Setting aside such a moral compass he has inspired a thriller. “Okaaaaay”! Off pitch and length. (It isn’t linking. Here’s the title. Hunter Discovers 29 Human Body Parts in the Desert )
here’s a few notes for the plot. you may not understand the first draft if u haven’t seen walter the muse.
Sick man gets plenty of orders but can’t get enough donated bodies sorry cadavars . Lightbulb! He could boost the number of donated by murdering a couple of easy victims and sell their bodyparts to Harvard medical for the students to dispose of the evidence. Win win? He could even write a disguised bestseller about it. Win, win, win! Until the market crashes due to Covid. Harvard Medical or some other medical school want tissue of covid patients. Students aren’t carving up bodies at the rate that they were. Electricity is expensive particularly after a move from an area that was getting a bit hot psychologically after too many missing persons though probably not reported. He is obsessively clean and doesn’t want rotting body parts. He goes to the desert to bury them but the ground is too hard and so he leaves them hoping the animals get rid of them. Who’s going to find them? People are social distancing? The End of the world is nigh.
Leave the tags on just in case? Who would dispose of murder victims and leave their address on the body parts? A clever little psycho? True he could not have done it? Plausible deniablility? Dumb oversight in slight panic?
Why leave the bodies in a desert in pandemic if you want them discovered? There are easier and better places for a protest piece. Flytipping? Perhaps no murder victims there.
Why did it take so long to explain the bodies?
Why is there that inflection in that Okaaay if he is expecting the police to arrive regarding his protest?
That rucksack doesn’t fit him. Murder kit? Helpful tools for disposing of bodies?
No smile lines on that face. Private slight smile? Medical students disposed of his victims. A couple of prostitutes here and there? Where he moved from almost certainly? Seattle people disappear/leave everyday. Contempt for the people when he needs the bodies and contempt when he doesn’t? That gels.
I perhaps won’t tidy up the notes to understandable.
Who the hell has a pipe bomb? Sickos? I am going to have to watch the case.
